This was a project that combined a public art exposition with a premier international sports event; the Boston Marathon. Twenty-six heroic sized winged-feet were to tell the story of what makes the race a legend. Sculpted by Michael Alfano, each Foot was to feature a different artist’s original interpretation of the event. I am not sure how successful the event was; but here are two of the sculptures. I have been unable to find photographs of any more.
